Nora K. Harding

Biography

My name is Nora Harding, and I’m the Volume 28 Senior Symposium Editor for The Journal of Gender, Race & Justice. I’m a Des Moines native, and I earned my BAJMC in Public Relations at Drake University. In the space between undergrad and law school, I had a career in digital marketing. During that time, I lived in Houston, Austin, and L.A. before coming back home to Iowa—eventually choosing to follow my dreams at Iowa Law.

Long before I had the great honor of being selected as a student writer for JGRJ, I was living JGRJ’s mission. Even in undergrad, my work often paralleled themes that JGRJ amplifies. Through my writing and advocacy, I have striven to challenge existing legal definitions and practices, contribute to a more equitable and just society, and nurture a vibrant community of discourse that thrives on challenging norms and sparking transformation.

This summer I will be working as a law clerk for ZarleyConley, a tight knit intellectual property law firm in Des Moines. My goal after graduation is to continue in the field of IP, hopefully at ZarleyConley!
