**Hard copy manuscripts will not be returned. Please include a brief cover letter and resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV) with your submission.
About our Publication:
We encourage authors who are considering submitting to the Journal to review our mission statement. The Journal is ranked by The Washington and Lee Law Review in the categories of "Gender, Women and Sexuality" and "Minority, Race and Ethnic Issues." As such, we seek to publish innovative new scholarship in these areas.
At this time, the Journal will not review unsolicited works by student authors, other than our student members. We typically do not publish book reviews and do not accept non-legal articles.
Publication Timeline:
The Journal typically publishes one volume per academic year, containing two issues. Selection for Volume 25 is in process now. Please notify the Journal of any requests for expedited review, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Requests for expedited review should include the author's name, title of the article, and deadline for response.
In addition to our general acceptance of unsolicited works, the Journal will issue a call for papers to solicit works for our biennial symposium. The call for papers will include a description of the topic and suggested symposium panels. Symposium works are published in the volume following the symposium.
Other Guidelines:
Manuscripts should be submitted in the form of a typed and double-spaced Word document. We also ask that manuscripts conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Legal Citation (Columbia L. Rev. Ass'n et al. eds. 20th ed. 2015) and The Redbook: A Manual on Legal Style (Bryan A. Garner 3d ed. 2013). The Journal does not have a page count or word limit, but manuscript length may be a factor in the selection process. Our policy is to publish only original works.
