Note & Comment Editor

Hey, everybody! I’m Emma Caparula, and I’m so excited to say that I’ll be a Note & Comment Editor this year! I grew up in the Quad Cities, on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River, and I’ve been here at the University of Iowa since I started undergrad. I graduated in 2020 with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Human Relations and Criminology, Law, & Justice. I loved being a 2L student writer for the Iowa Law Review, and I joined the Board of the Journal of Gender, Race, & Justice because I admire its emphasis on social issues, and because I love writing in general! 

After graduation, I plan to move out west and work as either a public defender or at an environmental nonprofit.
