This article argues that understanding binaries, explained here through the lens of bisexuality, can improve the law by helping judges, advocates, and policymakers find better address the complexity and nuance of people’s lives and the unique experiences. Tracz explores how bisexuality is defined, analyzes demographic information, and the role of intersectionality in bisexual jurisprudence. The author explores the relationship between binaries and bisexual erasure to discuss internal queer politics and the erasure of bisexual individuals within the queer community.
