Justin P. Rempe
Biography
My name is Justin Patrick Rempe and I am an Articles Editor for Volume 28.
I grew up in rural southeastern Iowa along the Mississippi. I am a proud 'Double Hawkeye,' and received a bachelor's degree in history and a Certificate in Human Rights. I credit the University of Iowa's Human Rights Certificate program inspiring me to a career of fighting social and economic inequities. After college, I completed a year of AmeriCorps service with Iowa Legal Aid's Hotline for Older Iowans in Des Moines, Iowa. During law school, I have been fortunate to serve working-class families, first with the Iowa Civil Rights Commission and then as a Peggy Browning Fellow with the United Mine Workers of America.
When I am not deep in the bowels of Boyd Law Building, I enjoy rigorous hiking in Utah's National Parks, playing grand strategy videogames, and pondering the Fall of the Roman Empire.
I am excited to accept a position on JGRJ's Articles team. I look forward to help curate and cultivate Progressive conversations!
