Jensen Gaul
My name is Jensen Gaul and I am a Senior Managing Editor for Volume 28. I grew up in Castro Valley, California and attended UCLA, majoring in History.
I came to law school to practice labor and employment law on behalf of working people. I was happy to find that my interests fit well within the Journal of Gender, Race & Justice’s nexus. For me, it’s important that organized labor be willing to accept and work with people of all backgrounds and identities.
During my 1L summer, I interned at the Office of the State Public Defender, in Dubuque, Iowa. This made me much more aware of the criminal legal system and its problems and much more appreciative of criminal law work. During my 2L summer, I interned at the National Labor Relations Board Region 7 field office in Detroit, Michigan.
After graduation, I hope to work for the National Labor Relations Board or in a labor and employment law related public interest position.
