Lucas A. Miller
Senior Articles Editor
My name is Lucas Miller and I grew up on a small farm near Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I earned two degrees—English and Political Science—from the University of Iowa and have now continued that journey at Iowa Law.
I have been interested in pursuing a legal career since participating in Mock Trial in middle school. Studying politics in undergrad strongly shaped my views of the state of our country and its current glaring political issues. This, along with my English studies, got me interested in political writing, and the Journal of Gender, Race & Justice became the obvious choice for me at Iowa Law.
It has been a great honor to work as the Senior Articles Editor, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my work helping to steer our publication selections with the help of my team and refining them into something truly special.
After graduation, I am interested in pursuing a career as a general practitioner for a small firm in Iowa or the Midwest.
