Note & Comment Editor

I'm Hazel Ward, one of the Volume 27 Note and Comment Editors. Prior to law school, I studied Elementary Education at the University of Iowa. I loved working with so many students with unique backgrounds throughout the Iowa City area. 

As a student writer I wrote for the Journal of Corporate Law, but when an editor position opened up for the Journal of Gender, Race, and Justice, I knew I had to take it! I love the tight knit community of JGRJ, and their mission aligns with the work I hope to in my career. 

Following law school, I'll be clerking for Judge Badding on the Iowa Court of Appeals. After that, I hope to work with a nonprofit focusing on youth and/or criminal law issues.
