Senior Managing Editor

Sydney

My name is Sydney and I am a Senior Managing Editor for Volume 27. I grew up in Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, majoring in Political Science and Sociology of Law, Criminology, and Deviance.

During my 1L summer, I worked for Kivu Immigration Law in Worthington, Minnesota. After the injustices I witnessed that summer, I knew I wanted to write my student note about issues I witnessed in the U.S. immigration system. The Journal of Gender, Race & Justice has been a perfect fit, providing me with resources and mentorship to critique the immigration system in a way that could potentially spur change.

After graduation, I will be joining Simmons, Perrine, Moyer, Bergman PLC in Cedar Rapids as an associate attorney.
