We are always shocked when we hear that a woman has committed a massive financial crime. What is it about our society’s view of women that makes us so surprised they are capable of swindling millions from a company? Azzarito uses difference theory to answer this question and argues that business leaders must look inward at their own stereotyping to protect themselves from becoming victims of financial crime, because, shockingly, women are in fact capable of committing crime.
